Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing and Procurement

• Manage sourcing activities across multiple indirect purchasing categories, including:
  • Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Facility management services
  • Packaging and consumable materials
  • Office supplies and equipment
  • Temporary labor services
  • Logistics and transportation services
  • Capital equipment support services
  • Utilities and energy-related services
  • IT hardware, software, and related services
• Lead RFQ and RFP processes, supplier evaluations, and vendor selection.
• Analyze supplier proposals and negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and commercial agreements.
• Develop and implement cost-reduction and productivity initiatives.

Supplier and Contract Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, service, and cost.
• Lead supplier business reviews and performance-improvement activities.
• Resolve supply disruptions, invoice discrepancies, and commercial disputes.
• Negotiate and manage Long-Term Agreements, Master Service Agreements, and purchasing contracts.
• Maintain accurate contract documentation and purchasing records.

Cost Control and Reporting

• Develop annual cost-savings goals and execution plans.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and spend optimization.
• Conduct market research, benchmarking, and pricing analysis.
• Track and report cost savings, cost avoidance, purchase price variance, and supplier performance.
• Support working-capital improvement initiatives.

Cross-Functional Support

• Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering, Facilities, EHS, Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Logistics.
• Respond to urgent plant and operational purchasing needs.
• Support new project launches, facility expansions, and capital expenditure initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate supply-chain risks while maintaining uninterrupted supply.

SAP and ERP Management

• Maintain purchasing information records, contracts, and source lists in SAP.
• Create and manage purchase orders and other purchasing documents.
• Monitor pricing accuracy and contract compliance.
• Assist with invoice discrepancies and supplier payment concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Three to seven years of purchasing, procurement, or strategic sourcing experience.
• Experience managing indirect procurement or non-production material categories.
• Strong supplier negotiation and contract-management experience.
• SAP or comparable ERP purchasing experience required.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data-analysis skills.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, contracts, and commercial terms.
• Automotive or manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• MBA or professional certification such as CPSM, CPM, APICS, or ISM is a plus.
