Ensure timely accurate receipt of, and put away of, inbound goods.  Manages the replenishment of all forward pick locations, provides proper training and all necessary tools for the employees so that the goals and expectations of the department as well as the employees will be met or exceeded.

Essential Job Functions, which must be performed in order to carry out the purpose of the position as described above:

  1. Assure accurate and proper placement of all incoming merchandise.
  2. Monitor and manage daily inbound volume.
  3. Evaluate employee performance and provide consistent, timely feedback.
  4. Set and communicate clear goals and expectations for the department and employees.
  5. Determine best way to optimize use of available space for present/future merchandise.
  6. Administer employee performance appraisals and provide action plans/training where necessary, on a timely basis.
  7. Assure that established company procedures and policies are being adhered to and applied consistently.
  8. Assure employees meet all company and department standards through regular review of productivity and activity audits. Provide feedback as needed.
  9. Assure compliance of safety and environmental policies and regulations.
  10. Oversee general maintenance and housekeeping and assure adherence to established standards.
  11. Develop employee competencies through on-going cross training and needs assessment.
  12. Participate in daily/weekly staff meetings for continuous improvement.
  13. Assures departmental production and financial goals are met or exceeded.
  14. Continually examine processes to drive out unnecessary costs.
  15. Ensure that proper physical and human resources are in place to accomplish goals. Provide staffing recommendations.
  16. Manages all job related supplies and assures proper inventory levels are maintained.
  17. Maintain security of the building during the work hours (3rd shift or early first shift).
  18. Monitor employee time punches and attendance records.
  19. Promote a safe working environment.
  20. Insure employees have the proper tools to perform their jobs.
  21. Respond to emergencies and personnel issues that require immediate attention without having management on site to consult with first hand.
  22. Works with other members of the DC Management Team to share staffing and assist where necessary.

  1. Previous positions that are preferred background experience to qualify for this position.
  • Supervisor or work leader with the necessary analytical, communication, leadership, and customer service skills to lead 15-25 people in a work environment that is driven by accurate and timely order fulfillment
  • Some logistics or warehouse experience utilizing manual/automated processes

Shift varies $55k to $58k annually
