This position will conduct safety and quality audits, investigate workplace incidents and product concerns, analyze operational data, maintain regulatory documentation, and support corrective and preventive actions throughout the facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The role requires flexibility to provide EHS and quality support across a <strong>24\/7, three-shift manufacturing operation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Environmental, Health and Safety Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, local, and company environmental, health, and safety requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and compliance audits across all three production shifts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, processes, and potential environmental risks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, near misses, environmental incidents, and employee safety concerns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Determine root causes and develop appropriate corrective and preventive actions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain OSHA logs, incident reports, inspection records, training documentation, and other required EHS records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate employee safety training, new-hire safety orientation, and onboarding safety programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead or participate in employee safety committees and facility-wide safety initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct Job Hazard Analyses, risk assessments, and workplace safety evaluations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor emergency response equipment and ensure emergency procedures remain current and effective.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support emergency preparedness drills and response activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage hazardous waste identification, handling, labeling, storage, documentation, and disposal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure employees properly use personal protective equipment and comply with established safety procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support workers\u2019 compensation cases and return-to-work programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics, incident trends, training completion rates, and compliance data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote employee participation in near-miss reporting and proactive hazard identification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to strengthen the facility\u2019s safety culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quality Technician Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Perform product, process, and manufacturing audits according to customer specifications and internal quality requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final product inspections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use precision measuring and inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauges, and CMM reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify product and process compliance with drawings, specifications, control plans, work instructions, and customer requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and interpret technical drawings, dimensional requirements, and manufacturing specifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investigate internal quality concerns, customer complaints, process deviations, and product nonconformances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support containment activities when quality issues are identified.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in root cause analysis using quality problem-solving tools, including:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>8D methodology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 Why analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fishbone diagrams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with the development, implementation, and verification of corrective and preventive actions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor scrap, rework, defect, and nonconformance trends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyze quality data and recommend opportunities for process improvement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, audit documentation, and corrective action records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support customer audits, internal audits, and third-party certification audits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify process compliance with applicable IATF 16949 requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support Layered Process Audits and follow up on identified findings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help improve product quality, reduce defects, and strengthen customer satisfaction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cross-Functional Support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide EHS and quality support across first, second, and third shifts as operational needs require.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate safety and quality communications between supervisors and production teams across all shifts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with new product launches, manufacturing process changes, equipment installations, and new product introductions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Human Resources, Quality, and Management teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in plant-wide safety, quality, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support timely communication and resolution of safety incidents, quality concerns, audit findings, and production issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help ensure consistent application of safety and quality standards throughout the facility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>High school diploma or GED required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum of two to five years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety compliance requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with manufacturing safety practices, workplace inspections, and incident investigations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with automotive quality systems, inspection processes, and customer quality requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience using precision measuring equipment and interpreting inspection results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive action processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, control plans, and work
