This position is responsible for ensuring product quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, and the continuous improvement of the company&#8217;s Quality Management System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The QA Manager will oversee compliance with FDA, FSMA, OSHA, DOL, EPA, USDA, HACCP, HARPC, and other applicable regulations while supporting operational excellence across the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive experience in food manufacturing, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quality and Regulatory Compliance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain and continuously improve the company&#8217;s Quality Management System.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, USDA, OSHA, DOL, EPA, HACCP, HARPC, PCQI, and all applicable food safety regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage prerequisite programs and verify compliance with Critical Control Points (CCPs).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain document control procedures and quality records.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and implement new prerequisite programs required for third-party certifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as the primary contact for OU Kosher certification audits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure compliance with wastewater treatment and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP) requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee third-party sanitation programs and coordinate with sanitation and chemical providers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quality Assurance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review product specifications and release conforming products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor quality standards throughout production.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct pre-operational inspections before each production shift.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform statistical analysis of quality data and consumer feedback.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support new product development and product improvement initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Audits and Continuous Improvement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead preparation for third-party audits, including AIB, BRC, SQF, and other GFSI-recognized standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate internal quality and food safety audits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, waste reduction, and continuous improvement projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain accurate electronic and paper documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leadership and Training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Train, coach, and develop employees on quality and food safety procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with Production, Operations, Sanitation, and Product Development teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote a culture of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Operate and interpret results from laboratory and quality testing equipment, including moisture analyzers, pH meters, thermometers, Brix analyzers, viscometers, density cups, calipers, and other measuring instruments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct technical research to support quality initiatives and process improvements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Engineering, or a related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in food processing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least five (5) years of experience in a food manufacturing environment regulated by USDA and\/or FDA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum of five (5) years of experience delivering food safety and quality training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong knowledge of HACCP, HARPC, PCQI, and food safety management systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with GFSI-recognized third-party audits such as AIB, BRC, or SQF.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with MRP systems and manufacturing software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience leading cross-functional quality and food safety teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Skills<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong understanding of baking, mixing, and food manufacturing processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of ingredients used in bakery and related food products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong mathematical and organizational skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Physical Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to stand for extended periods in laboratory and production environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to climb ladders and silos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work in hot production areas as well as refrigerated and freezer environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work flexible schedules and travel as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work safely around allergenic food ingredients, including eggs, milk, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, and wheat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to participate in sensory evaluations involving tasting and evaluating food products as part of quality assurance procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2
